Basic concept and methodology
Electricity what we receive at home or commercial premises is in Alternating current ( A C ) form . All equipment bulb, air conditioner, lift , machine etc consume electricity in A C form . Solar system generates electricity in Direct current ( DC ) form . Inverter in solar system covert DC to AC .
Electricity bill is basic documents to study solar system requirements. Number of units ie is checked for arriving solar system load .
Sun rising direction and area available for mounting solar panels decide solar system feasibility.
Solar system is called GRID connected solar system . After installing solar panels and complete system , Electricity board personnel replace existing meter by two way meter.
Electricity generated by solar system is exported to electricity board in day time . At night time electricity board gives back ie import electricity to consumer . Hence grid connected solar system is IMPORT – EXPORT of electricity units . At the end of month consumer receive electricity bill with import export data . Bill is charged only for excess unit is used ( consumption- generation ).
If solar generation is excess than consumption , excess unit is stored in bank .
